HR and Employee Engagement Specialist

PurpleLab® is seeking to add an HR and Employee Engagement Specialist to our growing team.  You will assume a vital, cross-functional role in the employee operations of our office. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute employee engagement programs and foster the company’s culture ensuring all initiatives/activities are promoted and delivered.
  • Develop strategies to improve engagement, and manage programs designed to foster team members, including but not limited to, retention, recognition, wellness, and other activities aimed at creating a positive workplace environment.
  • Manage the employee recognition program, including developing and executing the daily employee lunch and maintaining team beverages and snacks.
  • Organize employee special events, including but not limited to team building, holiday events, and company outings.
  • Assess programs, feedback, and involvement in considering creative ideas and needs.
  • Manage and support the HR, Payroll, and benefit platforms.
  • Own employee onboarding/offboarding, employee referral policy, employee, handbook, etc.
  • Create and maintain electronic HR, Employee and payroll filing systems.
  • Administrative support to ensure the company’s culture and employee engagement.
  • Assist with new hire paperwork, onboarding, payroll and benefits.
  • Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials and communication.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an HR role.
  • 3-5 Years experience as a HR generalist.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities without letting anything slip through the cracks is essential.
  • Versatility: Demonstrate a history of working beyond your core responsibilities, adapting to changing needs and acting with a sense of urgency.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in advanced MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is a must. Familiarity with Google Workspaces and Slack is preferred. However, the ability to pick up new software and applications quickly is equally important.
  • Transportation: Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable form of transportation.
  • Flexible team player, willing to adapt to changes and unafraid of challenges.
  • Discretion and confidentiality of information related to the company and its employees.
