Manager, Methodology

PurpleLab® is seeking to add a Manager, Methodology to our growing team. This role will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the methodologies that support analytics and enhances the data for PurpleLab products and data sales. The Manager, Methodology will play a key role in ensuring our processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with both technical best practices and our overall business goals.


  • Possess a deep understanding of relevant technical concepts and methodologies for healthcare analytics. 
  • Provides leadership and direction on methodology and reporting analytics in support of corporate and product goals.
  • Review and analyze the functional needs of various PurpleLab products and design, test and release methodologies that can provide a solution for their objectives.
  • Manage a high-performing team providing coaching and mentorship.
  • Manages the team through the design, development, execution, documentation, quality assurance and impact analysis of the quarterly release strategy, aligning it with established policies and procedures as well as business goals and objectives.
  • Develop and present clear, concise, and compelling visualizations to communicate insights and solutions to stakeholders or to provide counsel when needed to sales/client services. 
  • Analyze existing technical and functional processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Research and develop new methodologies that incorporate both technical best practices and functional needs to enhance PurpleLab’s product and data needs.
  • Serves as a resource for functional and technical questions relating to general healthcare data, and other supporting data necessary for supporting key product goals and methodologies.
  • Represent the company with external vendors, clients, industry events and conferences.
  • Work on projects as required from senior leadership.


  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year college or university
  • 5 or more years of experience as a solutions architect, methodologist, or Informatics.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical claims, pharmacy claims, enrollment, 270/271, provider data, payer data, and other ancillary data that may enhance it.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and concise insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and mentor a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, issues or requirements and recommend creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to design and implement efficient, repeatable, and quality processes. 
  • Demonstrated programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL and modeling software.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes and shifting priorities with ease in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to partner and interact with all teams and levels across the organization and outside the organization.
  • Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills and shares expertise with others.
