In today’s outcomes-driven healthcare landscape, real-world data (RWD) and real-world evidence (RWE) have emerged as critical tools to demonstrate clinical value, return on investment (ROI) and long-term impact beyond controlled trial environments. High-quality, analysis-ready data on real-world effectiveness is no longer a “nice to have,” it’s a requirement.
According to the Peterson Health Technology Institute’s 2024 State of Digital Health Purchasing survey, 97% of employers, 86% of health systems and 84% of health plans intend to maintain or increase spending on digital health solutions over the next year. “Health plans, employers and providers want to meet continued demand for digital health solutions, while ensuring the solutions they purchase have strong evidence that they improve health and generate economic efficiencies,” said Caroline Pearson, Executive Director of PHTI.
