We Believe
Better Outcomes
Begin With Better
Understanding
Driven by Discovery.
Defined by Outcomes.
At PurpleLab, discovery isn’t just what we enable, it’s what drives us. We transform real-world data into the insights that spark breakthroughs, guide decisions, and shape the future of care.
Our work begins and ends with one belief: outcomes matter most. Every dataset we refine, every analysis we power, and every partnership we build moves toward a single goal: helping the industry deliver better health for everyone.
What’s in a Name? Everything.

The name PurpleLab reflects both how we think and what we deliver.
“Lab” captures our spirit of exploration—a place where ideas are tested, data is shaped, and insights come to life. It speaks to our belief that discovery drives progress in healthcare.
“Purple” comes from the idea of the “purple squirrel,” a rare candidate with the perfect mix of skills and experience. That idea inspired us because PurpleLab combines what most organizations struggle to find in one place: deep data, flexible tools, and expert guidance. Together, “PurpleLab” represents intelligence, curiosity, and the uncommon value we bring to every partnership.
Built from Experience.
Driven by Purpose.
Mark Brosso,
CEO, PurpleLab®
Patient outcomes matter most. With outcomes as the objective, you have to start from the beginning—with the right information flowing to the right users at the right time. All to make health risk understandable, meaningful, and actionable.
Our Values
Be Curious
We ask why—and why not. We stay open, inquisitive, and never settle for the easy answers. Curiosity powers us. We create space for questions from others, responding with patience and respect so everyone feels encouraged to contribute. Investigating all angles of an opportunity enables us to uncover insights that others might miss, and unlock the solutions that drive us forward.
Move With Purpose
We act with intention, focus, and clarity. Whether building products, solving problems, or supporting our teams, we move with outcomes in mind, ensuring that every step we take moves us closer to meaningful impact for our clients, patients, and each other.
Succeed Together
Our greatest strength is in our ability to rely on one another. We collaborate with trust, empathy, and transparency. We embrace teamwork, celebrate partnership, and support one another to transform obstacles into innovations—because when we go together, we go far.
Navigate Courageously
We operate with agency, and are empowered to challenge assumptions we see a better way. We vigorously debate ideas, even when it’s hard, sharing perspectives with kindness. And when it is time to take action, we bring the dedication and persistence needed to achieve amazing results.
Chase New Horizons
We push for excellence, and stretch beyond our comfort zones. Growth—personal, professional, and organizational—requires determination and resilience. We sharpen skills, learn new abilities, and stay ready to tackle whatever lies ahead, knowing the next great breakthrough could be just around the corner.
