If you’ve spent any time in real-world evidence, you’ve seen this play out. A dozen teams might publish a definition for something as common as the Charlson Comorbidity Index, and only a handful will tell you exactly which codes and weights they used. Access to the same data wouldn’t have changed that. The problem isn’t the data. It’s transparency. And it’s a problem we’re in a position to help fix.
What changes is a body of work people can inspect and build on: methods they can examine, cohorts they can reuse, researchers trained to build both, and the time to pursue questions that might otherwise go unanswered.
That’s the work of CARES: making the studies that follow more visible, more reproducible, and more useful to everyone who depends on it.

What the data shows us.
Biomarker testing and survival in metastatic NSCLC
Across more than 167,000 patients in our CLEAR claims database, those who received comprehensive biomarker testing and guideline-directed treatment lived significantly longer. Raising testing rates is one of the most actionable levers available for improving survival.
Kidney health monitoring in diabetic patients, 2020 to 2024
